The World is flat???????

plateau pla·teau : raised area with level top: a hill or mountain with a level top

I Was reading this book - The world is flat - by Thomas Friedman. Ok, i dont intend to do a book review here for my magazine ( the one that you are staring at, currently..... :p ). It does get sickening, the number of times he keeps on emphasising the flattening effect, the various technologies are having, on human life. he is a journo, mind you, and he does his profession's reputation no harm. he basically doesnt have as big a point as the size of the book suggests. the basis of his writing is the good old principle that 'water tends to level on all grounds'. though he never quotes it.
Mr Thomas Friedman. You arent any better than another money guzzling journo. All you did was to exaggerate the effect of a certain technology, to have a less flat wallet. The world will never be flat, my dear. The world will remain a gaussian curve. may be the "flattening forces", as Mr. Tom would call it, might make the curve more lazy to peter out, with the bell retaining its vigour. People arrive at planet earth, with diverse abilitiies, of varying magnitudes. The only common thing might probably be the fact that, some, if not all of them, would not like themselves to be considered equal to someone else. Hence, each one of them will try to re-shape the plateaud opportunities surrounding them, according to their convenience, by digging up soil from the adjacent areas. R I P to flat world.
