A polite request!

I feel that all the "real football fans" seem to have some kinda stereotyping of the "fans" up here in asia. i understand that fans in general have a tendency to prove to themselves/someone as the "biggest fans" around. club stats. season ticket holders. having watched the major games live. etc. might be some of the metrics to determine who is the biggest around and all that. I dont really understand why someone should try to prove he is a bigger than another when its irrelevant imho. may be competition is something inherent in mankind.
i would be pleased, if, while in the process of such comparisons, the "real football fans" dont ridicule the "fans" here in asia. i hope they consider the fact that ppl over here dont have the opportunity to follow their team live. we are privileged enough only to watch the teams on TV. we can be described "lesser" fans on the above metrics i d mentioned. but that doesnt mean we are not fans at all. i feel thats a cruel sweeping stereotyping that is prevalent amongst opinions that i ve come across in discussion forums.
may be the point u are trying to make is about the "glory hunters". well. i am sure there are glory hunters in europe as well. i find it a cruel generalisation to brand everyone as glory hunters.
i request u to treat us as less fortunate cousins enjoying football on the other side of the globe. cuz even our emotions are tied to the clubs we support as well. and. though i like it when man united score 4 quite often, i frankly dont give a damn if we keep winning 1 - 0.

thank you!
